The Executive

The Executive is the main decision-making body within the Council's structure, it is chaired by the leader of the Council.  The Leader is currently Councillor Michael Rook.

Executive (Cabinet) Functions

Executive Meetings take place every month.  The meetings are held in public and members of the public are encouraged to attend.

The Executive is also required to publish a forward plan of key decisions to highlight any significant items within their work programme over the next four months. 

The Executive is made up of Portfolio Holders. Each portfolio holder has responsibility for an area of the Council's work.  A statement about each portfolio is set out below:
