Council departments
Harborough District Council has six main departments, each led by a head of service, which cover a range of services.
Customer Services
Customer Services overseas frontline customer services, communications to residents, CCTV control centre, community safety team, emergency planning and ICT.
Community Services
Community Services overseas sports and physical activity, revenues and benefits, waste and recycling, children & young people, museum and HIT
Financial Services
Financial Services oversees the budgets for each department and council as a whole, as well as day-to-day monitoring of council cash to maximise investments
Health & Enforcement
Health & Enforcement overseas licensing, enforcement, parking, food safety, pollution issues, pest control, and environmental health.
Change Services
Change Management covers elections, built environment, building control, cemeteries, performance management, land charges and human resources.
Legal Services
Legal Services provides legal advice on all the council's functions, such as planning and licensing, as well as advice to committees and other meetings.
