Viewing and Commenting on Planning Applications

Viewing Online Planning Applications

Welcome to Public Access for Planning

Public Access for Planning is our online internet service that provides details of current planning applications. You can follow the progress of an application, make a comment, search a weekly list of applications and decisions, view historic applications and view property details including maps. Using the associated documents tool you will be able to view application drawings and attachments.

Please note: For reasons of confidentiality, Harborough District Council may be obliged not to display certain Planning Applications.

To view the documents contained on this site you need to ensure that 'pop-ups' are allowed for the www.harborough.gov.uk site.

When you click on the 'View Associated Documents' button you will probably see a message bar appear under the Internet Explorer address bar at the top of the page.  If you click on this you need to allow pop ups from this site.  Alternatively go to 'Tools' off the top menu. Then 'Internet Options', then the 'Privacy' tab and then Pop Up 'Settings' ..... add the www.harborough.gov.uk site.

If you are using an alternative web browser to Internet Explorer, please read the help files to find out how to allow pop ups on your browser.

The Public Access service continues to be developed and at the present time only limited constraint information is available online.

The online planning history contained within the site at the present may be incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal 'Land Charge Search' or inspection of the statutory register of planning applications.  No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from 'Public Access'. Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Under normal circumstances the plans and documents associated with new planning applications will be able to be viewed within 3 working days of receipt of the application. If none are displayed at the time, you may wish to try a few days later or alternatively you will be able to view the application and associated documents at the Council Offices, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough during normal office hours (tel. 01858 82 82 82).
