JUST relaunching bigger than ever

The JUST initiative is relaunching – bigger and better than ever – with two councils teaming up to offer fun drop-in sports and activity sessions.

JUST – which re-launches on 23 January 2017 – is an eight-week initiative for females, aged 16 years and over, encouraging them to turn up, take part and have fun whilst getting fit.

Last year the healthy initiative attracted more than 300 attendances – with some newly established activity sessions proving popular enough to allow them to continue long term.

This year, JUST will run in the Harborough and Blaby districts with sessions including badminton, boxercise, clubbercise, netball, rounders, spinning, running, tennis, yoga, Zumba, and much more.

Cllr Michael Rickman, Harborough District Council’s portfolio holder for well-being and localities, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for ladies to have some active time, and enjoy the social benefits. There is no need to book or have experience of the activity before. Just turn up and enjoy!”
The first of each activity sessions is free, with subsequent sessions just £3 a time. There will also be the chance to earn rewards by attending the regular sessions.

Times and locations of all the activity sessions can be found at www.justsouthleicestershire.co.uk, tweet to  @JustGetInvolved, like on Facebook at JUST Get Involved or follow on Instagram at @justgetinvolved

There is no need to book however, to save time and to get special benefits, participants can sign up at www.justsouthleicestershire.co.uk
