Harborough District Council is inviting people in the district to visit Harborough Market on Saturday 21 April 2018 for a family-friendly St George's Day performance.

St George's Day is celebrated every year on 23 April 2018, with the legend claiming that St George saved a princess from the clutches of a dragon and, thereafter, his deeds have been celebrated for centuries.

St George and dragon

This year you can bring the family down to St Mary’s Place in front of Harborough Market, in Market Harborough, for a fun filled, panto style, performance of St George and The Dragon. Performances will be at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

There will also be several meet and greet sessions in the market with St George, the Princess and if you are brave enough, the dragon!

Harborough Market is open 8am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday for the popular Sunday Antiques Market.
