There is increasing interest by commercial operators in establishing wind turbines to help create electricity from this renewable source. Groups of wind turbines are known as wind farms. In common with other Districts in North Northamptonshire and elsewhere in the UK several applications for test masts or turbines themselves have been made in Harborough District.
