Our policies, plans and strategies - Preliminary Landscape Assessment of Alternative Strategic Development Areas

Record details

About this page

As part of the assessment of the four new Local Plan selected options (approved by Executive in May 2016) the Council commissioned The Landscape Partnership to carry out a preliminary landscape assessment of the three potential strategic development areas (SDAs) involved. The aim of the study is to compare the potential landscape impacts of the SDAs, assess the sensitivity of the local landscape and its capacity to accommodate major development, and highlight any mitigation measures that would be needed. The study will inform the selection of a preferred option to take forward into the draft Local Plan.
