Two meeting rooms in The Symington Building are available for organisations and the public to book for meetings and events. Complete this form to make a booking request.

Booking details

Civic Suite (up to 60 people)

The prices quoted are based on use during the following opening hours. Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm. For bookings outside of these times additional charges will be incurred and would be quoted separately.

  • Day rate - £290 ex VAT
  • Per hour - £50 ex VAT

Gallery Room / Meeting Room (up to 12 people)

The prices quoted are based on use during the following opening hours. Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm. For bookings outside of these times additional charges will be incurred and would be quoted separately.

This room can also be used to extend the size of the Civic suite with the removal of the acoustic partition wall.

  • Day rate - £170 ex VAT
  • Per hour - £30 ex VAT

Additional options

Catering options:

  • Tea and coffee - £1 per person ex VAT
  • Jug of orange juice - £2 ex VAT
  • Bottle of Water - £2 ex VAT

Printing options per sheet:

  • A4 - £0.07 ex VAT
  • A3 - £0.14 ex VAT
  • A4 colour - £0.20 ex VAT
  • A3 colour - £0.40 ex VAT

IT equipment:

  • Microphones - £10 per hour (there are a number of wired microphones or a handheld that can be linked up to the same system)
  • Presentation Screens - £10 per hour (please note you will need to bring your own laptop to connect to the screens)

Support Staff

If you require our concierge desk to operate outside of the standard hours (8:30am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 6pm on Friday) please provide at least 5 working days notice.
