Latest Information on Waste Collection Services

Bin collections

Refuse, recycling, garden waste collections are all currently continuing as normal.

Advice for households affected by Coronavirus:

  • Make sure all contaminated waste items are placed into a plastic bag and tied at the top
  • Please double bag for 72 hours in a place that cannot be accessed by pets or people
  • After 72 hours put the bag in your refuse wheeled bin. Do not put the bag on the kerbside where people could have contact with it

What you can do

To help the crews, please make sure your bins are presented on time before 7am and make sure they are visible and accessible. This is especially important as the crews emptying your bin(s) may not be the regular crew and therefore may not be as familiar with the round. Please also park considerately to ensure that the refuse vehicles can gain access.

We would like to ask residents to clean their bin handles after touching them as a precaution. We would also recommend that residents wash their hands before and after moving bins.
