COVID-19 Grants

The government has announced a range of grants for businesses which were forced to close or have been severly effected by local and national restrictions. The range of business support grants will change from time to time and this information will be updated on a regular basis.

Please note that businesses can only receive one grant in relation to any one time period, i.e. you can only receive one grant for the national lockdown (5 November – 2 December).

1. Local Restrictions Support Grants (LRSG Closed) Addendum – (between 5 November - 2 December 2020) to support business, which pay NNDR

3. Tier 4 Grant Funding 31 December to 4 January 2021

Grant applications are now open for businesses that were required to close due to tier 4 restrictions (31 December to 4 January). This is for business who are registered for business rates.

All businesses who qualified for the Local Restrictions Support Grant for the November national restrictions will be contacted and asked to confirm they wish to apply for the new grant using the information they have previously provided in order to help to speed up the processing of your  application. You will be required to sign a declaration confirming that the circumstances of the business remain the same.

4. Christmas Support Payment for Wet-Led Pubs

The Christmas Support Payment is a government grant for ‘wet-led’ pubs to support pubs within Harborough District.  The grant is for pubs that mainly serve alcohol rather than provide food, in recognition that they have been severely impacted over the festive season due to temporary local restrictions.

5. Additional support for rural pubs from Leicestershire County Council

The scheme for rural pubs is a grant scheme in addition to the government grants for Wet-Led pubs, which is being distributed by Harborough District Council. This scheme for rural pubs is an additional grant, which is led by Leicestershire County Council.
