Businesses encouraged to take part in Harborough District Food and Drink Fortnight

Following the success of the 2025 event, the fortnight will once again showcase the Harborough district’s independent cafes, restaurants, pubs and other food and drink venues, encouraging residents and visitors to discover and support local hospitality businesses.

Participating venues will have the opportunity to promote special menus, dining experiences and exclusive offers throughout the two-week campaign, helping to raise their profile and attract new customers.

The initiative aims to support the local hospitality sector, encourage visitors to spend time in the district and celebrate the quality and diversity of independent food and drink businesses.

Cllr Rosita Page, Cabinet Lead for Business and Tourism, said: “Following the success of the 2025 Harborough District Food and Drink Fortnight, we are delighted to bring the event back for 2026.

“The fortnight provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the quality and variety of our independent food and drink businesses while encouraging residents and visitors to support the local hospitality sector. These businesses make an important contribution to our local economy, and we are proud to celebrate everything they have to offer.”

Independent food and drink businesses with a Food Hygiene Rating Scheme score of four or above are encouraged to register their interest in taking part.

Harborough District Food and Drink Fortnight is supported by the Taste the Place campaign from Visit Leicester, working in partnership with Visit Harborough District to promote the region’s food and drink offer.
