Consultation on air quality in Kibworth

From: 20/07/2017 To: 17/09/2017.

Harborough District Council has a duty to monitor local air quality in the district and every year publishes its Air Quality Annual Status Report.

Generally the air quality in the district is good; however monitoring in the Kibworths found levels of nitrogen dioxide which exceed the annual mean air quality objective along a small section of the A6 Leicester Road.

As a result the council must declare an air quality management area and develop an action plan to improve air quality. In light of this, the area along the A6 Leicester Road in the Kibworths will be declared an Air Quality Management Area. View the proposed Air Quality Management Area order (PDF, 498KB).

The extent of the Air Quality Management Area was based on evidence from air quality modelling (PDF, 1.5MB).
