Key Winter Message
All agencies in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland are working together during the cold weather to keep people safe and the local area moving.
Disruption is being kept to a minimum but people are urged to remember the important messages below.

Adapt your driving style to the conditions and remember conditions can change very quickly. If they are hazardous, consider whether your journey is really necessary.

Leicestershire Constabulary's Road Policing Unit is advising people to be alert and to drive according to the conditions during the winter like conditions.
Look out for vulnerable neighbours, family members or friends who may need help with shopping and other daily living tasks. Please see inclement weather for more on social care services during severe weather.

Only visit the Emergency Department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary if you have a genuine health emergency.

Think about if there is an alternative place you can go to such as an NHS walk-in centre and remember to wear suitable footwear if venturing out.
