Businesses urged to take up better broadband offer

Businesses across Harborough district are being urged to take the offer of help to get faster broadband as part of a local voucher scheme.

Applications can be made for up to £3,000 of grant funding for the increased infrastructure. However, there is limited time to access the funding, with 50 per cent of the funding pot having already been allocated.

Cllr Blake Pain, Leicestershire County Council’s cabinet lead for rural broadband, said: “This funding is great news for the Superfast Leicestershire project, which is already benefitting thousands of households and premises across the county.”

Cllr Phil King, who has responsibility for broadband at Harborough District Council, said: “I positively encourage business owners across the Harborough district to grab this opportunity to improve their broadband connectivity.”
