Important Information About Your 2026/27 Business Rates Bill
We are aware of an issue affecting some of the 2026/27 Non‑Domestic Rates (NDR) bills that were recently issued by the council.
From 1 April 2026, national changes have been introduced, including:
- The ending of the Retail, Hospitality & Leisure (RHL) Relief scheme
- The introduction of new multipliers applicable to some businesses previously receiving RHL Relief
During the annual billing process, some accounts that had previously received RHL Relief were issued with incorrect bills.
What this means for you
If your business was affected, your bill may not reflect the correct charges for 2026/27.
You do not need to contact us.
We are already aware of the issue and are working to correct the affected bills.
A revised and accurate demand notice will be issued shortly.
Please keep your current bill for your records but wait for the corrected version before making payment or setting up instalments.
