Scraptoft Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

A referendum held in the village on Thursday 11 February 2016 saw local residents vote overwhelmingly in favour of the neighbourhood plan.

Harborough District Coucnil is publicising its decision to make the Scraptoft Neighbourhood Plan.

Examination

Scraptoft Neighbourhood Plan was submitted to Harborough District Council by Scrpatoft Parish Council, the Qualifying Body, on 10 March 2015.

Examination

An Independent Examiner, Dr Angus Kennedy OBE, was appointed by Harborough District Council in July 2015, with the Examination held without the need for a public hearing.

The final report was received from the Independant Examiner in November 2015.

At its meeting on 14 December 2015 the Council agreed the Examiner's recommended modifications should be accepted and that the amended Neighbourhood Plan should proceed to a referendum.

Approval of Neighbourhood Area

Scraptoft Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Scraptoft Neighbourhood Area. The application was publicised during July/August 2012 and was approved by Executive on 29 October 2012. View a map identifying the designated Scraptoft Neighbourhood Area (PDF, 765KB).
