Future High Street Fund

The Government has recently made £675m available to Local Authorities, which is intended to help them develop their town centres and high streets, making them more sustainable for the future.

Harborough District Council has decided to focus their bid to improve Lutterworth town centre and will submit its application to the Government on 22 March 2019.

Our project proposes the creation of a new Public Realm area, which will provide a place where people can meet, relax, eat and enjoy events and activities in a safe and pleasant atmosphere. It will bring a renewed sense of community and identity to the town centre and help to attract more visitors from the surrounding towns and villages.
