Review of Polling Stations 2018

Overview

Harborough District Council has a duty under the Electoral Administration Act 2006 to undertake a review of its polling stations to assess the suitability of the places we are currently using and making sure they are as accessible as possible.

As part of this review the council will be consulting with a wide range of interested persons and organisations. We value your opinions and will use any feedback received to help us decide on any change to venues that may need to be made

Whilst conducting the review the council must:

Seek to ensure that all electors in the area have such reasonable facilities for voting as are practicable in the circumstances.

Seek to ensure that so far as is reasonable and practicable, the polling places we are responsible for are accessible to all electors, including those who are disabled, and when considering the designation of a polling place, must have regard to the accessibility needs of disabled persons.

If you have any proposals for change, or wish to make any suggestions please email your comments and suggestions to:
