Dietary requirements and allergies

If you have a dietary requirement or an allergy, please double check the ingredients before eating. The foodbank will try to give the correct food but the ingredients do need to be checked by the person receiving the food.

Foodbanks can supply food parcels to people in need. They are often run by churches, charities and other community groups and are dependent on support from volunteers to provide help with food parcels.

Non-perishable in-date food is donated by the public at a range of places, such as schools, churches and businesses, as well as supermarket collection points. It is then sorted into boxes by volunteers, to be given to people in need.

Some foodbanks require you to get a voucher from an agreed agency such as a health care professional (such as doctor or health visitor), a social worker, or the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Most foodbanks require a referral from an agency such as Jobcentre Plus, the Citizens Advice Bureau, or the local council.
