Kibworth Air Quality Management Area

Kibworth Air Quality Management Area

The 2017 Air Quality Annual Status Report has identified an issue with air quality on a small section of the A6 Leicester Road in the Kibworths,  which has exceeded the national air quality standard for the annual average nitrogen dioxide levels.

An Air Quality Management Area was declared on 29 November 2017

The extent of the Air Quality Management Area was based on evidence from air quality modelling (PDF, 1.5MB).

The Air Quality Action Plan for the Kibworths  was published February 2019 and sets out how we are looking to address the air quality in the Kibworths.

This index provides information about local air quality, similar to the sun index or pollen index. This index helps people to be more informed and for those groups who are more at risk with heart or lung conditions to consider the relevant health advice . DEFRA Daily Air Quality Index
