Medbourne Parish Council has petitioned Harborough District Council to commence a community governance review to look at whether to increase the number of councillors on the parish council. The parish council currently has five councillors.

Although it has requested the council to be increased to seven, the review can decide not to make changes, to increase to seven, or to increase to any other number. The terms of reference were agreed by Harborough District Council on 29 September 2026, and the consultation is now live until 24 November 2026.

All registered electors in Medbourne should be receiving a letter to explain how to respond to the consultation. If you would like further information, or did not receive your letter, please contact us on cgr@harborough.gov.uk
