Neighbourhood Plan Review	The Burton Overy Neighbourhood Plan is being reviewed by Burton Overy Parish Council. The presubmission consultation runs from 22nd January 2025 and closes on 5 th March 2025. A copy of the Draft Neighbourhood Plan Review and supporting documents can be viewed at https://www.burtonoverypc.gov.uk/neighbourhood-plan Strategic Environmental Assessment In December 2024 Burton Overy Parish Council requested that the Council undertake a screening assessment fo the review plan for requirement for a SEA. The screening assessment concluded that a full SEA was not required and the screening was sent to the statutory consultees for comment. Referendum	A referendum was not required to 'make' the review plan.
Examination	Submission of Plan The following documents were submitted by the Qualifying Body for examination in May 2025. QualifyIng Body Statement of modifications - Burton Overy NDP Review Other documents submitted Housing Needs Assessment Design Guide and Codes Consultaiton Event Feedback Appendix 3 Environmental Inventory Appendix 4 Local Green Spaces Appendix 5 Statutorily Protected Heritage Assets Appendix 6 Non Desiganted Heritage Assets The Council has considered the modifications to the Burton Overy Neighbourhood Plan and has provided the following statement of modifications. The Council agrees that the modifications are material but do not change the nature of the Plan. The Examiner will be provided with all documentation. Read the LPA statement of modifications Regulation 16 Consultation After authorisation by the Director for Planning and the Portfolio Holder for Planning under delegated authority ( Part 3, Section C(1) of the Scheme of Officer Delegations, Annexe A of the Constitution. The Neighbourhood Planning Scheme of Delegation – approved by Cabinet on 5 October 2020) the Regulation 16 Consultation is schedueld to commence on 2 July 2025 until 13 August 2025 (6 weeks) Read the Regulation 16 consultation responses Examiner Appointment With the agreement of the Qualifying Body, Harborough District Council has appointed Tim Jones of No5 Chambers to undertake the Independent Examination. All documents and representations were submitted to Mr Jones at the end of the Regulation 16 consultation period. Examination The examiners report was received on 5 September 2025. The reort concludes that the Council should 'make ' the Plan with the recommended modifications.and that a referendum was not required. The Coucnil must 'make' the Plan within 5 weeks of receipt of the Examiners Report. The Qualifying Body are considered the examiners report week commencing 15 September 2025 and confirmed they wishe to procedd to 'making' the Plan. Approval of Neighbourhood Area	Burton Overy Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Burton Overy Neighbourhood Area. The application was published for a six week period ending on 27 July 2015 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 31 July 2015.
