Ward Member Community and Rural Grants

Two new community grant schemes will launch at the beginning of September, providing funding for local projects and initiatives across the district.

The Ward Member Community Grant will provide each ward councillor with £35,000 (£1,190,000 in total) to support projects that benefit residents and communities in their ward. A separate £500,000 Rural Grant Scheme will provide additional funding specifically for smaller villages and rural communities, recognising that these areas have received a smaller share of funding through previous grant programmes.

Both grants will support a range of capital and revenue projects and will be administered through the same application and assessment process, making it easier for applicants and enabling the two sources of funding to work together where appropriate.
