October Fest returns to Market Harborough this weekend

Live entertainment, seasonal activities and a Craft Beer Festival will accompany the market on the adjacent Commons Car Park.

Hosted by Zoom Events, working with Harborough District Council, the three-day October Festival will take place from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 October 2018. Around 30 stalls and attractions will be present, plus a live music stage and seating area for relaxing with friends and family.

The event is expected to increase footfall in the town centre and pull in visitors from throughout the district, providing a welcome boost to the local community.

Visitors can expect to savour a diverse selection of local and international street foods including pork or chicken souvlaki, Polish sausages and dumplings, sweet and savoury crepes, hog roast, burgers with homemade toppings, Thai and Chinese dishes. A range of artisan and homemade grocery products will be available to take home and enjoy ranging from olives, nuts, baklava, speciality German chocolates, sweets, award winning British cheese truckles to a continental food selection.

Those looking for early Christmas gift ideas or tasteful clothing and home decor will be able to browse a plethora of arts, crafts, clothing, accessories and vintage items. From Indian rugs, Italian clothing, hand crafted glass art, Natural Baltic amber jewellery, fragrance lamps and African ornaments to wool products from South America, visitors will be sure to find plenty of unique gifts and home inspiration from around the world!

Market Harborough October Festival is free to enter and will be open on Friday 12 October 2018 from 12pm to 7pm, Saturday 13 October 2018 from 9am to 7pm and Sunday 14 October 2018 10am to 6pm.

The bottom section of the Commons car park will be closed during this time and a section of the car park opposite to B&M Stores has been allocated for blue badge parking.
