Warning issued over construction working hours
Published Friday 20 September 2019A warning has been issued to developers after construction work was carried out outside of approved construction working hours in Kibworth.
Harborough District Council has spoken to site managers for both David Wilson Homes and Miller Homes which are currently working on the Fleckney Road development site.
The warning was issued following reports from Kibworth residents and monitoring by Harborough District Council.
This means that should enforcement officers observe any harm as a result of non-compliance with the conditioned working hours, Harborough District Council will serve enforcement notices.
Current conditions state that no construction work shall take place outside:
- 8am to 6pm from Mondays to Fridays
- 8am to 1pm on Saturdays
- Not at any times on Sundays and Public Holidays
Cllr Jonathan Bateman (pictured), Harborough District Council’s enforcement lead said: “It’s important that the agreed working hours are complied with so that there is minimal disruption for residents. If developers decide to ignore the pre-agreed conditions then enforcement action will follow.”
