FinanceAs well as freezing its share of Council tax, the Council has also set out a number of savings and significant growth and investment in a number of key areas.

This investment includes leisure, climate change, rural and environmental crime investigation, heritage and conservation, economic development, homelessness prevention, focus on young people, providing affordable homes and support for the armed services.

Find out more about the proposals and have your say on the Council’s website at www.harborough.gov.uk/consultation until 4 February 2020.

Councillor James Hallam, Harborough District Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet lead for finance, said: “All comments received as part of the consultation will help inform decisions around our spending and saving for the year ahead. We have set out an ambitious programme of growth to benefit residents across the district, as well as no rise to our share of council tax this year and we want to hear people’s views on that.”

Following feedback from the public, Harborough District Council will approve its budget proposals at the end of February 2020.
