Monitoring at Wells Close, Claybrooke Parva

Published Thursday 9 April 2020

Harborough District Council is currently monitoring ground works activity at a site in Wells Close, Woodway Lane, Claybrooke Parva.

This site has previously been subject to enforcement action preventing the use of the site for caravans or mobile homes.

In September 2019, planning permission was granted at the site for a barn and manure store, extension of stable yard and a manège [for horse and rider training].

Police and Council enforcement officers are visiting the site daily and have spoken directly to the landowner. He has maintained that he has no intention of using the site for caravans.

The Council will continue to monitor this site on a daily basis and over the Easter Bank holiday weekend.

Any breach identified involving the siting of caravans / mobile homes will result in formal enforcement action.
