The Armed Forces community across Harborough district are now able to access a range of help and support thanks to improved online resources.

Harborough District Council has significantly updated its website to include new support information for all sectors of the Armed Forces community, including serving Army, Navy and RAF regulars and reservists, veterans and their families.

A year ago, Harborough District Council launched its Military Survey findings, at a special event at The Symington Building, following a consultation with the Armed Forces Community.

The survey was carried out in partnership with Rutland County Council and South Kesteven District Council.

In response to the findings, a number of actions have been ongoing to address the issues raised and provide further support to those who need it.

Cllr Rani Mahal, Harborough District Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “This is a fantastic source of information for those people within in the Armed Forces Community. A huge amount of work has gone into collating this information and sharing it online; it will provide valuable advice, signposting and support especially at this challenging time.”
