The Chairman of Harborough District Council has paid tribute to HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Councillor Stephen Bilbie, Chairman of Harborough District Council said:

“It is with great sadness that we learned today of the death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this very sad time.”

The Union Flag is currently flying at half mast above The Symington Building in Market Harborough.

Harborough District Council will also be joining other organisations across the country in observing a one-minute silence on the day of the funeral.
