Voluntary groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations will once again be showcasing the work they do as the popular Community and Volunteers Fair returns.

People will have the chance to get involved and find out more about how they can volunteer or help as the event returns to The Square in Market Harborough on Saturday 22 October 2022, from 10am to 4pm.

Community and Volunteers FairThe event is organised by Harborough District Council, in partnership with Neil O’Brien MP for Harborough.

Neil O’Brien said: “This is a fantastic event to showcase the invaluable work happening all across the Harborough district. Charities, local groups, sports clubs and other organisations have the opportunity to find new helpers, connect with the public and engage in meaningful conversations for those in need of support, particularly now that we are facing challenging times post pandemic.”

Many groups such as LOROS, Spectrum, Turning Point and VAL will be offering information regarding their services, the resources available to the public, as well as detailing how to get involved with the work that they do as members or volunteers.

Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council said: “Volunteering, or working with community groups, can be hugely rewarding; it can also help in terms of getting experience for your CV. This event helps link people with local groups and not-for-profit organisations, and previous events have been very beneficial so please do come along and see what’s available.”
