The bicycle park in George Street car park offers secure undercover shelter for up to eight push bikes.

Harborough District Council has answered the call of residents for cycling improvements in the town centre following discussions with Lutterworth Town Council.

Another bicycle park will be installed in Station Road car park after the works to The Shambles pub are completed in the spring.

Cllr Darren Woodiwiss, Harborough District Council’s Cabinet lead for Environmental and Climate Change, said: “I am pleased we have been able to deliver more safe and secure bike storage for the people of Lutterworth as there was significant demand for it. Providing more places for bicycle parking is key to encouraging people to make sustainable travel choices for their local journeys. If we can cycle instead of drive, it is good for protecting our environment and gives a boost to our activity levels too.”
