Council awarded Gold Standard for management of land charges data
Published Monday 10 November 2025Harborough District Council has been awarded Gold Standard for its exceptional local land charges data management.
The council has been assessed as delivering the very best service levels between July 2025-September 2025. It has also been informed that the standard has been consistently achieved every quarter of 2025.
This year HM Land Registry introduced a clear categorisation system to tell each authority if their data is classified as bronze, silver, or gold to help to raise standards so that every customer gets the service they deserve. Local authorities that reach and maintain gold status are publicly recognised on GOV.UK in a ‘status’ column which is updated quarterly.
Cllr Paul Beadle, Cabinet lead for Corporate and Wellbeing, said: "It is great to receive this external recognition for the quality services that we are delivering here at Harborough District Council. A number of our support services are working tirelessly day in and day out to provide the very best for our residents and this is proof that we are providing gold standard services.”
The council is permitted to use a specially designed gold banner on correspondence and its web pages as long as current performance levels and commitment to excellence is maintained.
