This curated route celebrates the town’s rich natural landscape and guides walkers through local parks, riverside paths and historic streets to learn about the value of biodiversity and wildlife through the seasons.

The new trail has been developed with the expertise of local voluntary community group, Harborough Woodland, and reveals a series of carefully selected sites that showcase ten native and heritage trees.

Designed to be both educational and enjoyable, the gentle circular route highlights the ecological value of trees within the town’s green landscape and their fascinating stories.

Councillor Rosita Page, Portfolio Holder for Business & Tourism, said: “We’re delighted to introduce Market Harborough Tree Trail as a new way to connect with nature. This initiative celebrates the beauty of our local environment and gives people the chance to learn about notable trees whilst enjoying a free outdoor activity.”

The tree trail is available as a downloadable map and compliments the full series of heritage walking trails available: https://visitharborough.com/walks
