Help to Buy Midlands has teamed up with the housing services team at Harborough District Council to organise a drop-in advice event for aspiring home owners.

The free event, which is aimed at individuals interested in getting on or moving up the property ladder, will be held on Monday 19th January, between 10am at 3pm at Harborough District Council, The Symington Building in Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough.

Since its launch, Help to Buy has helped thousands of people to buy a new home, and combined with the recent changes in stamp duty, means it could be an ideal time for people to start thinking about making a move.

In addition to information on the various government backed Help to Buy options, an independent mortgage adviser from Metro Finance will be on hand providing affordability assessments and general mortgage advice.

April Tatlow, Marketing and PR Officer at Help to Buy Midlands, is one of the representatives available on the day. She said: “It’s a free, impartial event where you can find out more about the different Help to Buy schemes, including equity loans and shared ownership. If you’re just starting to look into home ownership or considering moving, why not come along to find out more.”

Individuals interested learning how Help to Buy can make home ownership more affordable should go along to the event or contact http://www.helptobuymidlands.co.uk/ or 03458 50 20 50 selecting option 2.
