Funding to provide apprenticeship opportunitiesPublished Thursday 5 March 2015
Move over Lord Sugar, the district council is looking to take on apprenticeships and is encouraging other organisations and businesses to do the same.
National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9 March to 13 March 2015 and linking in with this Harborough District Council has unveiled plans to take on apprenticeships.
Funding is also being made available by the council from 1 April 2015 to allow businesses and organisations in the district to take on apprentices of their own.
Cllr Blake Pain, leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We want to work with local businesses and other organisations to look at how they could take on apprenticeships which can be a great way for people to get into the workplace. We hope businesses take advantage of this opportunity as apprenticeships bring with them huge benefits and value.”
More details about the funding are set to be released over the coming weeks.
