Community Awards 2025

This new award supported by Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce is for a business that is inspirational in engaging and supporting their local communities, leading to improving lives for residents. This award provides recognition to a business that has delivered meaningful benefit to the wider community, as well as its people. We are looking for a business which has made a real and positive difference, for example, by one or more of the following:  

• Supporting local charities, community groups or causes, for example through donations, sponsorship, volunteering, or in-kind contributions 
• Encouraging its staff and stakeholders to improve the lives of residents of Harborough District, for example through volunteering, fundraising or other community involvement. 
• Actively contributing to improving the education and/or the career prospects of its people 
• Actively engaging with young people or others who face barriers to employment locally to help them understand career opportunities and the pathways available to them 
• Leading by example in not only making a difference, but challenging others to do more for their communities. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible to enter the Business-Community Impact of the Year Award, the following eligibility criteria apply:  

• The business is based in, or has an operating presence in Harborough district 
• The benefitting community is in Harborough district. 
• The activity needs to have been carried out over the previous 12 months. 
• Businesses including sole traders can nominate themselves. They can also be nominated by other individuals or businesses.  

Prize  

The winner will receive a trophy and a certificate 

Runner-up receives a medal and a certificate.
