Public involvement in planning to be reviewed

Published Monday 30 September 2019

Ensuring residents have every opportunity to have their say on planning issues is the aim of a review of how the Council consults on development matters.

At its meeting on Monday 7 October 2019, Harborough District Council’s Cabinet will consider the revised Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which is produced by local authorities to explain how the public will be involved in planning related matters across the District from planning applications to major strategic documents like the Local Plan.

If approved by councillors, residents will be able to have their say on the revised Statement of Community Involvement between Wednesday 20 November 2019 and Wednesday 8 January 2020 before it is considered for adoption in February.
