New crime prevention and safety advice stall at market

Useful advice on community safety and crime prevention will soon be available at Harborough market.

Every Tuesday from 12 January 2016 to 29 March 2016 members of the Harborough District Community Safety Partnership, which includes police and fire service and council representatives, will be hosting a stall at Harborough Market to raise awareness of issues around crime and safety, in particular theft of property.

On 12 January, 16 February and 22 March the police will be offering free cycle marking so bring your bike along between 9.30am and 4pm.

There will be also be advice on fire safety in the home, how to prevent purse theft, property marking and you can sign up to the local Farmwatch scheme.

You can also get general advice on crime prevention and you can pick up a free shopper bag to use afterwards in the market.
