Councillors' Ward Improvement Grant
Application process
Councillors may approach groups directly where they wish to support a project based on the needs in their ward. Organisations can also contact their ward councillor directly (Councillors) to discuss their project proposal. It is the decision of the ward councillor as to which projects they wish to receive the grant; there is no further decision or appeal process.
Ward councillors will then contact the council's grants officers with details of the projects they wish to support. The grants officers will liaise with the applicant directly to arrange for the online application details to be completed. This will involve acceptance of the terms and conditions of the grant and due diligence checks to enable the award to be processed.
All applicants should read the terms and conditions of the grant on the next page and the general grant exclusions page (link) before making an application.
We anticipate it will take around four to six weeks between receiving full online applications and groups receiving the grants, but please let us know if there are any time constraints we need to be aware of when putting the project forward.
Organisations must contact their ward councillor direct regarding the scheme and to put their project proposals forward. Queries regarding the process can also be emailed to HDC Officers at wardgrants@harborough.gov.uk.
