Active Together

A free evening event is taking place looking at how next year’s London Olympics can help leave a lasting legacy on sports improvement in the district.

The event, organised by Harborough District Council and the Harborough District Sports and Activity Alliance (HDSAA), is being held at Lutterworth Sports Centre, on Wednesday, September 28, from 7.15pm to 9pm and is open to representatives from sports clubs in the district.

The evening will include presentations and news on funding opportunities for sports clubs and coaching development in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics.

HDSAA Chairman, Phil Jarvis said: "This is an opportunity for representatives from different sports clubs to get together, share good practice and learn from one another. It is great for keeping clubs up to speed with what opportunities are available to them in terms of funding and support but also for giving them new ideas on how they can develop and attract new members."
